This page gives you links to the respective books and e-books I have written about the more modern Mercedes SL roadster produced from 1971 until 2020. One can of course argue whether the R107 Mercedes belongs into this category, but as it has a modern V8 engine plus a much improved suspension, I consider it part of the more modern Mercedes SL roadster family. A click on one of the pictures above will lead you to the table of content of the respective SL book. The internal nomenclature for the SL changed from "W" (for "Wagen" or vehicle) to "R" (for "Roadster") with the introduction of the first V8 SL, the 350SL in 1971. While the pagoda SL was called W113, the new SL had now the internal code R107. The similar looking four-seater SLC with fixed roof was consequently called C107 (C for "Coupe")
